Medicaid and Medicare administrator Donald Berwick said medical healthcare will be rationed.
When the White House was busy selling its socialized medicine plan to the American people and Congress earlier this year, those suggesting the plan might force healthcare rationing were labeled fear mongers and alarmists. But were they right, after all? Last April, Donald Berwick, a traditional supporter of healthcare rationing, was nominated to the post of Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Last year, Berwick told Biotechnology Healthcare, “the decision is not whether or not we will ration care, the decision is whether we will ration with our eyes open. And right now, we are doing it blindly.” Republicans were expected to try blocking the Berwick nomination, so Obama is now trying to sneak his appointment through during Congressional recess.
