You might want to keep a close eye on the Middle East again. Russia’s President, Dmitry Medvedev, says Iran is making progress toward being able to create nuclear weapons.
This admission came even as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was telling an American television audience that it would be a mistake to believe that Iran’s nuclear ambitions can “be contained.”
However, Netanyahu added that such irrational regimes cannot be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons. He labeled Tehran’s efforts to join the nuclear club, “very, very dangerous.” When pressed for a deadline when diplomatic efforts to derail a nuclear Iran could be replaced by military options, Netanyahu declined to say.
