UN Push for CRIMINAL Penalties for Criticizing Gay Agenda

Image

In a move that divided countries and cultures to the very end, the United Nations’ Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) on Monday granted accreditation to a major U.S.-based gay and lesbian organization, officially giving it a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) “consultative status” seat at the Council’s table.

In the press after the fact, self-congratulatory quotes from those who support the organization, read like the world has seen an overdue advancement of human rights. After all, the name of the group is the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission.

But to balance out the debate, opponents such as the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute (C-FAM)—an organization dedicated to following and participating in issues related to social policy at the United Nations for the past 13 years—argue that the M.O. of this particular group is about anything BUT human rights.

“This is a radical organization that believes homosexual rights trump the right to free speech and freedom of religion,” says C-FAM president, Austin Ruse. “In fact, they believe criticizing the perpetration of their agenda should be subject to criminal penalties!”

Making matters worse in Ruse’s assessment of what transpired at the U.N. this week, is the truth about the governing authority behind this accreditation . . . none other than America’s own President.

Last month, under protocol, a U.N. committee designated to approve NGO applications rejected the Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission for consultative status based on the number of “no” votes from ranking nations. But several Western diplomats, including U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and others under the Obama administration, spearheaded an override of the committee, demanding a full 54-nation ECOSOC vote.

Now, some of the most outspoken praise is coming from Obama himself, calling the accreditation “an important step forward for human rights,” which brings the U.N. “closer to the ideals on which it was founded, and to values of inclusion and equality to which the United States is deeply committed.”

Ruse, however, finds this Executive Branch crusade troubling for a multitude of reasons. “Hillary Clinton announced last month that every U.S. Ambassador around the world is directed to get involved in promoting the homosexual agenda in whatever country they are assigned,” he points out. “The Obama administration has made it abundantly clear that this agenda will be among their top foreign-policy priorities. They say this at a time when the U.S. is fighting two wars and is under direct threat from international terrorists.”

For a deeper look into this underpublicized development at the U.N. that is a disturbingly ironic affront against human rights, call Special Guests to arrange an interview with any of three C-FAM experts. See below.
