Organization Making Aggressive Messianic Overture to Big Apple
It’s not always well received. But for those who are passionate about it, the effort and risk of rejection is, nonetheless, immensely worth it.
Dr. Mitch Glaser, president of Chosen People Ministries (CPM), an international organization dedicated to evangelizing and discipling Jewish people regarding the acceptance of Jesus as the Messiah, is available for interviews to discuss one of the most aggressive efforts CPM has ever undertaken.
Anyone who lives inside American culture is familiar with the relentless placard presence of John 3:16. It inevitably appears at nearly every major televised entertainment event. Starting this month, CPM will launch a public message that rivals this well-known Biblical tactic, all across New York City specifically.
The target audience? Non-religious Jews . . . although, much like that of the Man this advertising campaign will promote, CPM’s message will welcome everyone.
Deploying everything from billboards and subway posters, to major print and radio ads, Chosen People Ministries will be trumpeting a simple message intended to enlighten Jews to the Christian belief that Jesus is the Messiah, and validate it by citing a reference in the Jewish Biblical prophesies.
The Bible actually contains 332 remarkably descriptive prophesies about the Jewish Messiah—from the place, time and manner of His birth, to His betrayal by a trusted friend, to the manner of His death, and more. Glaser and others who have studied this aspect of history contend that all 332 were literally fulfilled in Jesus.
For CPM’s campaign, the choice was Isaiah chapter 53, underscored by the phrase, “This Chapter Will Change Your Life.”
Through “Isaiah Chapter 53, we are demonstrating that the Gospel is Jewish, and that the idea of a suffering Messiah is one that is well founded in the Jewish Bible,” says Glaser. “It is our hope to show that Jesus is the only one who could have possibly fulfilled this prophecy.”
