Ancient (micro) Continent Mauritia Discovered Under Indian Ocean
Scientists have supposedly discovered a ‘micro-continent’ under the Indian Ocean.
They named it “Mauritia.”
The new continent was hidden under large amounts of lava.
Along with this find was a ‘bonus’ discovery of the semi-precious stone, Zircon.
Scientists speculate that Mauritia split off of Madagascar many years ago but was eventually buried by active volcanoes.
