TEA PARTY CULTURE WARS: Video calls for Trading in Amoral Politicians for Moral Tea Party Statesmen

According to the latest census, the average American household-income decreased, while the official poverty rate increased to 15.1%. That means there are now over 46 million Americans living in poverty.

Writing in his book "Tea Party Culture War, A clash of Worldviews," author/economist Stephen Johnston declares America is at a financial crossroads. Economist Stephen Johnston writes about what's at stake in this election, culturally, economically, politically and spiritually. Johnston writes that America's direction will ultimately be determined by our next elected officials.

Stephen Johnston believes this year's election cycle will decide whether our nation becomes a godless socialist country or an economic sound one, based on the traditional values found in the Bible. He writes about what has happened to the family, the breakdown of morality and the bias of the education system.

Stephen Johnston writes in Tea Party Culture War, a clash of Worldviews, about comparing school textbooks of the 1800s to what children are now being taught. Back then they were being taught about Adam and Eve as they also learned to spell. A was for Adam, C was for Christ as they also learned about values. But today, kids are being taught humans come from animals, there is no right or wrong. You're going to have sex so here are some condoms so you can have safe sex. Stephen Johnston writes that we as Christians and as citizens will be held accountable for what is being taught to our children today.

The 2012 elections will be part of a "Culture War," or clash of worldviews. On one side, you have people who believe in living by a set of divinely inspired moral absolutes. On the other side, you have people who insist morality is as simply a personal decision and one culture or opinion is just as good as another.

Johnston writes if people would only understand what George Washington said, that it was impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible, but now George Washington would not be elect able, because he'd be considered a radical right wing religious nut.

ABOUT STEPHEN JOHNSTON:

A long-time resident of California, author and economist, Stephen Johnston, B.S., J.D., earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Western State University of Law and a Theological degree from Calvary Chapel School of Ministry.

He is the author of The Tea Party Culture War (WinePress, 2011) which Mr. Johnston describes as a systematic manifesto of the Tea Party Movement. Stephen is also the author of When Is Judgment Day? (Anomalos, 2008).

Mr. Johnston has over 20 years experience in prison ministry and Bible teaching, and has served as a chaplain in Orange County and Los Angeles jails as well as Pelican Bay, a California maximum security prison.

Mr. Johnston and his wife of 38 years divide their time between homes in Palm Desert, California and Brookings, Oregon. They have one adult daughter and one granddaughter.

ABOUT STEPHEN’S BOOK, “THE TEA PARTY CULTURE WAR”…

America stands at a crossroads: culturally, economically, and politically. Enter The Tea Party Movement, whose focus is primarily fiscal conservatism, government accountability, and reduced taxation.

Currently, America suffers from a clash of worldviews, but the issue is much deeper than politics; it is ultimately a spiritual battle between good and evil. For the sake of generations to come, we need to win this war. We need to take action to defend our beliefs. We need to take the right road.

Excerpt from Tea Party Culture War-- A Clash of Worldviews:

America stands at a crossroads—culturally, economically, politically, and spiritually. Our direction will ultimately be determined by our elected leaders. In particular, the 2012 presidential election represents a fight for America to decide whether our nation will become a godless socialist country or an economically sound one, based on traditional biblical values.

Enter The Tea Party Movement—an anti-tax protest movement at its heart, the Tea Party Movement’s focus is primarily fiscal conservatism, government accountability, and reduced taxation. Originating in early 2009, the movement has been most visible through a series of Tea Party rallies, which have occurred since early 2009.

A Clash of Worldviews—we all have a worldview, a set of presuppositions and belief used to interpret and form opinions about the purpose of life, social issues, and moral standards. The Tea Party Movement cannot win the cultural war if we do not recognize the root problem as a spiritual battle between good and evil. The issue is deeper than politics and economics. For the sake of our children and the generations to come, we need to win this war. We need to take action to defend our beliefs. We need to take the right road.
