THE UNITED STATES OF CHINA?: ObamaCare Contraception Taking Us One Step Closer

Image

The frightening notion that our irresponsibility in Washington is leading us down the path to becoming nothing more than a colony of China is not lost on most Americans. Although, to this point, it has had everything to do with China funding our government’s obscene spending addiction.

But now, with the oppressive creep of ObamaCare taking root in our garden, we may be morphing into Communist China in a completely different way.

At this point, the contraception coverage debate that began as an issue of religious liberty and has since taken some other irrelevant twists and turns is widely known.

But yet another new problem has emerged, with critics led by Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) projecting that both the conditions and the government authority will soon be in place to impose a mandate that feels a heck of a lot like China’s one-child-per-family law.

On behalf of the White House, Health & Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius argues that ObamaCare imposing insurance coverage for contraceptives is justified by the fact it will reduce health care costs.

In response, Bachmann says, “…with that logic, it isn’t far fetched to think the President…could say…we need to save health care expenses…[so] the federal government will only pay for one baby to be born in the hospital per family. Or two babies…born per family. That could happen.”

Sound crazy? Another Obama cabinet member, science czar John Holdren, is on record arguing for government population control. And other ObamaCare critics paint a clear projection on why rationing of services is inevitable in a government healthcare system.
